Information for Amateur Radio Clubs

Thank you for your interest in JOTA.

JOTA in Victoria is coordinated by the SRESU under the supervision of the State Leader – Communication Technologies.

How can our club get involved?

JOTA/JOTI must be organised by a Scout Group. If you club would like to get involved, please get in touch with your local Scout Group or contact our JOTA Coordinator and we will assist finding a group.

We ask that all participants from your club MUST hold a current Working With Children Check (WWC). All trainers and assessors including JOTA / JOTI operators must be committed to protecting our young people. You may apply for the WWC online at

The national VK JOTI-JOTA Portal is where you register your attendance as a participant (radio operator, leader, helper) and provide details about your site. This portal is a great place to not only share what your site is doing but to see what is happening at sites across the country. Please visit
