S-H Yachts are required to test their HF Radios on 22 Dec during the period 08:00 – 18:00. Testing will be conducted with the Marine Rescue Lake Macquarie. Tests may be heard on HF/USB – 4483kHz and 6516kHz
Sailing Instructions will require that boats report by radio when they are in the vicinity of Green Cape and make a declaration confirming their time of passing the cape. S-H yachts may be heard on HF/USB – 4483kHz and 6516kHz.
In past years, 6516kHz was used as the main race frequency, and scheds heard after 0735hrs and 1905hrs including position reports. 4483kHz – The backup frequency and daily 0005hrs position report frequency. HF radio scheds in 2016 – 2017 have not been confirmed.
