John Moyle Field Day is a 24 hour amateur radio contest where the goal is to make as many radio contacts as possible. The more people you talk to, the more points you collect! Scout Radio Victoria will be running a portable radio station at Camp Warringal on 20-22th March 2026 and are inviting all youth to participate.
Your ticket for the weekend includes camping, catering, and all the equipment you need to get on the air! The activity is primarily aimed at Venturers and Rovers; younger sections are welcome to day trip for a single competition block.
No radio experience or license necessary. We’ll have a briefing before you get on the air and qualified supervision across the competition. A great way to try out amateur radio in a high paced and engaging weekend.
